Your app is live and nobody owns the backend
The developer who built it left, the agency moved on, or the API was built in a hurry for the launch. Releases slow down and every change feels risky.
We're an AI-native backend development company. We build the APIs, integrations and cloud infrastructure behind mobile and web apps. Taking over a backend? It starts with a one-week code audit from $1,000.
The API, the data and the cloud,
built and run by one team.
Backend development services cover the server side of a mobile or web product. That means the API your apps talk to, the database, sign-in, payments, notifications, admin tools and the cloud infrastructure it all runs on. Tapptitude is a product development agency in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. We've built 150+ web and mobile products over 12+ years, and we maintain live backends under a monthly SLA from $1,500.

Orders, stock or customer data live in an ERP, a CRM and a few spreadsheets, and people copy data between them by hand.
A managed platform got you to launch, but now you need custom business logic, more integrations, real-time features or more control over cost and data.
The app and the backend are designed together, so the API fits the screens and the data model fits the product.
| Criterion | Supabase / Firebase | Custom API (NestJS on AWS) |
|---|---|---|
| Cost of the first version | Often cheaper | Higher |
| Time to launch | Often faster | Longer |
| Custom business logic | Limited to what the platform supports | Any logic your product needs |
| Integrations | Simple ones, through the platform's functions | Any number, including ERPs and older internal systems |
| Control over data and costs | Within the platform | Full control over data and costs |
| When we recommend it | A first version with standard needs. KickIt, a screen-time app we built, runs on Supabase. | Custom business logic, several integrations or real-time features, as for Arenova and Paradise Weddings |
Mobile app backend development is part of every app we build. We design it with the app, so a new screen doesn't need a new workaround on the server. Building a new app? The backend is part of the price: mobile app development from $20,000 for a focused MVP with design, backend, admin panel and both store releases.
The API your apps talk to, with secure sign-in and user accounts.
Push notifications, payments and in-app purchases. Heavy work, such as sending notifications, runs in the background.
File and media storage, and real-time chat and updates with Socket.io where the product needs them.
A web dashboard your team uses to run the product, built together with the app and the API.
The AWS infrastructure it all runs on, written as code in Terraform.
Our API integration services connect your product to the systems your business already runs on. That includes ERPs, CRMs, payment providers, accounting tools and older internal systems.
ERP integration services for any ERP or accounting system that exposes an API, a database or scheduled exports. We've delivered integrations with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) and Odoo.
System integration services for CRMs and older internal systems: customer data in a CRM connected to your product, so people don't copy data between them by hand, and older systems through scheduled exports, a database connection or a small middleware service where there isn't a usable API.
Payments through Stripe, RevenueCat and Shopify, plus Mollie, Monek and kitchen printer integration for Ontapp.
Email and SMS through Sendgrid, Twilio and MessageBird. Google, Apple and Facebook login.
Analytics with Segment, Mixpanel, Google Analytics and Heap. Monitoring with Sentry, New Relic and AWS CloudWatch. AI with OpenAI, ElevenLabs and Azure AI.

We've delivered integrations with Navision and Odoo. The others are systems we connect to through their APIs, databases or exports.

A modular API, usually Node.js with NestJS, with the data model designed around how the product is used. Background jobs and scheduled workers keep heavy work, such as imports, notifications or AI processing, away from the requests your users wait for.
Encrypted connections, secure storage for personal data, role-based access for admin tools, and dependencies kept on supported versions with security patches applied.
Caching with Redis and infrastructure on AWS written as code with Terraform and Docker, so a new environment is a command, not a week of setup.
Error, performance and uptime monitoring with Sentry and New Relic from day one, so we see a problem before your users report it.

We rebuilt how we deliver around AI coding agents. The result isn't a cheaper version of the same work: it's a smaller senior team that ships more of your product, sooner, for a fixed price.
An MVP used to take six people: a product manager, an iOS and an Android developer, a full-stack developer for the backend and admin panel, a designer and a QA engineer. Today a technical product manager and a senior developer who covers both mobile and backend deliver the same scope with our product designer. Fewer people means fewer hand-offs, and it's why new apps now start from $20,000.
AI turns the notes from our definition workshops into specs and user stories. The team checks every one before it goes into the scope you sign.
Our developers build with Claude Code and Codex. Every change is reviewed by a senior developer before it is merged.
Automated tests are written with AI alongside each feature, and the team tests every build itself, so quality is part of each milestone, not a phase at the end.
Product decisions, UX and UI design and the final code review stay with people. Your code and data are never used to train AI models.

A backend code audit from $1,000: code, database, infrastructure, security and deployment, with risks ranked by severity and what to fix first.
We take over repositories, deployment and monitoring and fix what blocks the next release. This usually takes one to two weeks.
We run the backend under maintenance with SLA from $1,500/month. The audit fee is credited against the first month.

A backend doesn't stay healthy on its own: libraries go out of support, providers change their APIs and traffic grows. See maintenance with SLA for response and resolution times.
Everything a live app needs to keep working: updates, fixes, monitoring and releases, with response and resolution times written into the contract. The price covers an iOS and Android app with its backend and admin panel. More platforms, critical integrations or extended hours raise it.

Everything on the server side of a mobile or web product: the API your apps talk to, the database and data model, sign-in and roles, payments and notifications, admin panels, integrations with your ERP and other systems, and the AWS infrastructure it runs on, with monitoring from day one. Our backend development services cover new builds, takeovers of existing backends after a one-week code audit from $1,000, and maintenance under an SLA from $1,500/month.
Yes. We start with a one-week code audit from $1,000 covering the code, database, infrastructure and deployment, and you get a written report with risks ranked by severity and what to fix first. The takeover itself usually takes one to two weeks: we move repositories, deployment and monitoring to our team and fix what blocks the next release. Then we run the backend under a monthly SLA from $1,500, and the audit fee is credited against the first month.
It depends on the product. A managed platform such as Supabase or Firebase is often faster and cheaper for a first version with standard needs. A custom API fits when the product needs its own logic, several integrations or full control over data and costs. We recommend one during product definition and write down why.
Yes. We've delivered integrations with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) and Odoo. We also connect to SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Oracle NetSuite, Sage, DATEV and any other ERP that exposes an API, a database or scheduled exports. Before we build, we map which data moves in which direction and how often, and agree what happens when a sync fails. After launch, monitoring tells us when an integration breaks.
It depends on the systems involved, how well their APIs are documented and how much data has to be cleaned or mapped. We scope each integration before we start and give you a fixed price and a timeline in writing, so you know the cost before any work begins.
We do, under the maintenance plan: error, performance and uptime monitoring on the backend, security patches, dependency updates and fixes within SLA times, with critical issues answered within 4 business hours and fixed within 1 business day. The backend runs in your own AWS account, so the infrastructure and its costs stay visible to you. Hosting costs are not included in the plan.
At a fixed price. A backend for a new app is part of the app price, from $20,000 for a focused MVP with design, backend, admin panel and both store releases. A takeover starts with a one-week code audit from $1,000, followed by maintenance with SLA from $1,500/month or maintenance and new features from $4,050/month, both with a 3-month minimum. Integrations and new features are scoped and priced before we start.
Yes. Our developers work with AI coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex, AI drafts specs from our workshops and writes automated tests, and people review every change. Because we work at a fixed price, the time AI saves goes to you: a smaller senior team, a lower starting price (new apps from $20,000) and more of your product in each milestone. We don't sell hours, so there is nothing to discount.
Every change is reviewed by a senior developer before it is merged, covered by automated tests and built on the same architecture and conventions we use on every project. Your code and data are never used to train AI models. If you want a second opinion, our one-week code audit, from $1,000, reviews any codebase, ours included.
Mostly Node.js with NestJS, MongoDB and Redis, running on AWS with infrastructure written in Terraform and Docker, and Supabase when a managed backend fits the product. Monitoring runs on Sentry and New Relic.
We also take over backends built on other stacks, such as PHP with Laravel. The one-week audit tells you whether to keep, refactor or rebuild.
Yes. Most products need one: to manage users, content, orders or inventory and to see what is happening in the product. We built a web admin for venues and inventory for Ontapp and a dashboard where brands manage inventory, analytics and partnerships for Bond.
